We pride ourselves on the close personal relationships we develop with our families and our availability to your needs whenever you need us. You may have heard of concierge or boutique medical care where, for a fee, the patient is provided enhanced care. Well, enhanced care through direct contact and constant availability is what we think all patients deserve and we have provided for a long time, without the additional fee. The small size of our practice allows you to develop a continuing relationship with your child's doctor.

Jane Roach, CRNP
What is a Nurse Practitioner?
The Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (CPNP) is an important member of the Pediatric Health Care Team. Nurse Practitioners have undergone extensive education beyond their basic nursing training. As specialists in pediatrics (which makes them Pediatric Nurse Practitioners), they have successfully completed a rigorous program leading to a certificate and masters degree. They are certified by their own specialty board, as well as by the State of Maryland. They are required, just as physicians, to take continuing education courses to keep their knowledge up to date. Jane works in collaboration with Dr Schneider to provide the best primary care services to our patients. Jane performs well-child exams. She also counsels families about childhood behavioral problems or family issues affecting children. Jane can assess, diagnose, and manage most of the routine illnesses of childhood. She may order laboratory tests, x-ray studies, and prescribe medication when appropriate as well as refer children for further evaluation to other health care professionals or community agencies.
Jane has worked in our office since 2000. She lives in Crofton with her husband, Michael.
